A welcoming Trebetherick cottage, nestled within easy reach of the beach, this comfortable hideaway is ideal for families and friends. Sleeping eight guests, the three-bedroom abode is just 400 metres from picturesque Daymer Bay, where you can swim, poke about in rockpools and make sandcastles. Polzeath beach, which is known for its surf, is 1 mile from your base, while scenic Rock Beach is a 1.5-mile stroll alongside the Camel Estuary. From Rock, hop onto a ferry to Padstow, where you can wander the narrow streets, pausing in charming shops and eateries. Book a sealife safari from the harbour here or arrange to go on a fishing trip. The South West Coast Path is also just 400 metres from the cottage. Follow this for almost 3 miles out to the National Trust’s magnificent Pentire Point. Head into Wadebridge, 7 miles away, to stock up on local produce.
Wander inside at ground-floor level, via the hall, where there is a handy downstairs shower room with a WC. Rinse the sand off before heading on inside to find ample living space for unwinding together between your many excursions. Settle back onto the comfortable seating in the lounge to enjoy a few pages of your book, watch TV or play games with your friends or relatives. Open the French doors to your outside space to bring in the warm sunshine or step out into the fresh air. The lounge adjoins the lounge/kitchen/diner, with its lovely stripped wooden floor, farmhouse table, pretty units and a wood burner. Stoke up the fire in here as you cook, gather round the table or recline on the cushioned pew seat and chat over a cup of fresh coffee. More doors open onto the garden, and there is a useful adjoining utility room. Two of your bedrooms, a king-size and a twin (king size option available), are also downstairs. The king-size has built-in storage and the luxury of its own bathroom. Climb the stairs to find another fabulous king-size, with wardrobes and an en-suite bathroom. There is also a second twin (king size option available) bedroom up here and a separate WC.
Choose between two decked areas when it comes to relaxing out in the fresh sea air. Dine outside in the sunshine as often as possible. Watch the children as they play on the lawn. There is ample off-road parking here.
