An inviting, light-filled hideaway, this Polzeath retreat captures spectacular coastal vistas. Sleeping six guests, the three-bedroom cottage enjoys an elevated position overlooking sweeping Padstow Bay and the dramatic North Cornwall coastline. From here it is just 500 metres down to sandy Polzeath Beach, with its opportunities for swimming, paddle boarding and surfing. Picturesque Daymer Bay is 1 mile away, while the golden sands and clear blue waters of Rock are 3 miles away. Sea lovers might also like to venture further afield to the picture-postcard beaches of the Trevose Head Heritage Coast. These include expansive Harbour Cove Beach, 17 miles away, and Trevone Bay, 16 miles away. Take the ferry over the Camel Estuary from Rock to Padstow to browse in fashionable outlets and dine in renowned seafood restaurants. In Padstow, you can also hire bicycles and head out along the Camel Trail, which follows the beautiful estuary and river.

Enter this tempting, single-storey abode by taking two steps up. Find yourselves in a lobby, where you can slide off your beach sandals or unlace your walking boots before ambling on into the inner hall. Unpack any tasty fresh Cornish produce you have sourced on your latest foray in the kitchen straight in front. This well-designed space, with its cream units, features all the equipment you need to help you. Gaze out towards the sea as you go about your culinary activities. The long lounge/diner, where natural light streams in through the many windows, is to the right of the hall. Here you can recline in front of the Smart TV on the soft sofas or listen to music via the Bluetooth speaker. Soak up the scenery from in here or take a step into to second lounge where there is additional seating from which to admire your surroundings. This airy space also offers access to a WC. The bedrooms and bathrooms are found by turning left at the end of the hall. These include two doubles and a super-king-size, with zip-and-link beds that can also be set up as a twin by prior agreement. Wake up in the main double bedroom to fabulous sea views. The family shower room and a separate WC are also in this part of the property.

Take the children out into the sea air to play games on the lawn. Relax on the patio as supper sizzles on the BBQ and you gaze out to sea. Watch the sun go down and the stars come out over a last glass of wine before bed. There is private parking here for two to three cars.

A lovely holiday home, close to the beach and coastal path. Amazing sunset views and beach and sea views. Safe enclosed garden was amazing for our dog. Comfortable bedrooms. Could do with an upgrade on the shower and sofas to make it really cosy and comfortable.
