An attractive modern retreat in desirable Polzeath, this chic homestay is an all-season favourite. Sleeping ten guests, with five bedrooms, the property is ideal for larger groups seeking easy access to the beach. From the beautiful, shared gardens of 1.5 acres, amble down the private footpath to the sand, with your towels under your arms. Take your surfboards too, as Polzeath is renowned for its excellent waves. Hike along the South West Coast Path for panoramic views and to explore the National Trust’s Pentireglaze. Visit pretty Rock, 2.5 miles away, to board the ferry over the Camel Estuary to Padstow, with its cobbled streets, seafood restaurants and charming shops. In Padstow, hire bicycles and pedal out along the picturesque Camel Trail to Wadebridge. Explore the pretty coves and beaches on this side of the estuary, too. These include Trevone Bay, 16 miles from your base, and Harlyn Bay, 18 miles away.

Enter at ground-floor level to find immaculate accommodation. From the hall, discover a utility room to the left, a family shower room with a WC, and two of your bedrooms. One of these is a family room, with super-king-size with zip-and-link beds that can also be made up as twin by prior agreement and a set of small bunk beds for children. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner fills the entire first floor of the house. Filled with natural light, this gorgeous space has glass doors at one end that give onto the balcony and a spectacular view. The centre-piece of the room is a striking white wood burner, which brings a cosy glow to the space during the colder months. The light kitchen has been fitted out with everything you are likely to need to cater for your party during your stay. There is a breakfast bar here and a table to gather around for lively holiday meals. Carry your coffee out onto the balcony on warm days. Wander on up the stairs to the top floor of the property, where your three remaining bedrooms are located. These include a superb super-king-size, with a generous en-suite shower room, and a Juliet balcony with views out towards the sea. There is also a double bedroom and a king-size bed, with an en-suite shower room.

Have breakfast out on the wooden deck on sunny mornings. Sit out on the balcony on fine evenings, cook up on the BBQ and watch the sun set over the sea. Stroll around the attractive gardens and make the most of the footpath down to the beach. There is private parking here for two cars.

Loved the location! Also really loved that there were three rooms on the top floor and then two on the ground floor split by the open plan kitchen/living area. Was perfect for us with families upstairs and then the grandparents downstairs in the quiet.
