Relax with family or friends at this charming four-bedroom home in Rock, complete with an outdoor heated swimming pool. It’s set back from the buzz of Rock Road so feels wonderfully private, but still conveniently located within 0.5 miles from the village’s shops and restaurants. Days can drift by as you make the most of the pool, or perhaps you’ll venture out and take the scenic footpath leading through the nearby golf course (350 metres) to Rock Beach. Here, calm estuary waters make for safe family dips and lazy picnics. If you’re craving surf, Polzeath Beach (2.5 miles) is the place to test your skills, while the ferry from Rock to Padstow (2 miles) promises a foodie day out – think fresh fish and chips followed by local ice cream, or treat yourself to fine dining at Paul Ainsworth’s acclaimed restaurant.

Step inside this spacious single-level home to find a large, light-filled lounge with wooden floors and glass doors that open onto the terrace – fab for sunny breakfasts or relaxed evening tipples overlooking the garden. Sink into the vast blue sofas with a good book or film, or head to the generous kitchen to cook up feasts. Delightful house in excellent location for walks across golf course and local shops - and lovely big garden for dog.

This is our seventh consecutive year at Half Way Tree and it is perfect for three generations of our family. So convenient for walking to butchers, bakers, deli and fishmongers. Great dog walks nearby.

Swimming pool is fab and a real treat to have during the heatwave. The house is comfortable and can afford eight people staying with ease.
