The property welcomes two guests and is the perfect romantic retreat for couples seeking a peaceful getaway amongst the stunning Dorset landscape. As expected, the surrounding area is a paradise for keen walkers, and the long-distance South West Coast Path passes through the village. After a long walk, refuel in Langton Herring’s friendly village pub. Further afield, enjoy days out to the historic county town of Dorchester (10 miles) or the vibrant market town of Bridport (15 miles). Your nearest beach is the long, shingle stretch at Chesil (1 mile) – a popular spot with dog walkers. For a more traditional seaside day out Weymouth is a short drive away ( 5 miles ) where you will find an award winning sandy beach, many choices of restaurants , bars and cafes , a town centre with high street stores and independent shops. Visit the historic Nothe Fort. , or head to the Jurassic Coast beauty spots of West Bay, Durdle Door, or Lulworth Cove (all within 20 miles).

The cottage is located next to the owner’s home, with privacy assured, and is reached via a shared driveway. Inside, the property still retains its original personality and charm, with beautiful exposed beams and whitewashed stone walls sitting alongside traditional furniture and decor. After a day of exploring, return to your rural bolthole to rustle up a hearty meal in the country kitchen, which you can share together at the dining table. After dinner, retreat to the cosy lounge to snuggle up in front of the wood burner and watch a classic movie on the Smart TV. A refreshing bathroom completes the ground floor. Upstairs, nestled in the eaves, is a delightful king-size bedroom with a cute, recessed window and skylights for enjoying a spot of stargazing on a clear night. The bedroom also has a handy, en-suite WC. Please note, the bedroom has a sloping ceiling, with restricted head height in some areas.

Immediately outside the cottage is a small courtyard with seating – the ideal spot for a morning coffee as you plan the day’s itinerary. Along the driveway, you’ll find a separate, enclosed garden with a patio area for al fresco dining and a lawn where four-pawed guests can burn off steam.
