This spectacular Cornish retreat is carved into the cliffside and surrounded by 2.5 acres of landscaped gardens that drift into the coastal scrub below. Sleeping up to 12 adults and two children, it’s truly fantastic for a family holiday. You’ll be perched just above Greenaway Beach (0.5 miles) with Polzeath (1 mile) in one direction and Daymer Bay (1 mile) in the other. Greenaway remains wonderfully peaceful even in summer, perfect for rock pooling, shell hunting and family picnics, while Polzeath is a lively hub of surf schools, cafes and shops watched over by lifeguards in high season. Over at Daymer Bay, enjoy wild swimming and dog walks or take to the water on windy days with kite and windsurfing, before climbing Brea Hill (1 mile) for panoramic views of the Camel Estuary. Padstow (15.5 miles), is home to harbour views and fantastic seafood.

You’ll arrive via a bumpy private road, with sweeping sea views opening as you approach the property. Step inside to find a luxurious home designed for sociable family living, complete with underfloor heating and a roaring wood burner for cosy evenings. The sleek kitchen has everything you need for entertaining – including an island, breakfast bar and Nespresso coffee machine – with patio doors that open to a balcony and terrace for al fresco dining. A mezzanine above the lounge offers a quiet spot with a desk, while the games room comes with table football, table tennis and beanbags, opening directly onto the terrace. On this entry level you’ll also find a utility room, a wet room with twin showers, and a handy WC. Bedrooms are spread across all floors: a king-size with a balcony and luxurious en-suite, plus other bedrooms ranging from doubles to twins (including one charming children’s room tucked under the eaves) – plus a super-king-size room with its own dressing room, sea views and spa-style bathroom. Bathrooms are plentiful, including family and en-suite options.

Outside, acres of private gardens are yours to explore, with a fire pit area, stone dining table, gas BBQ and multiple seating spots for soaking in the sea air. You can store bikes and boards safely in the garage, and there’s ample parking on hard standing outside.
