Discover Cornwall’s coast and countryside from the edge of New Polzeath, staying in this exceptional beachfront lodge with eco-friendly credentials and bright, coastal-inspired décor. Just 100 metres from Polzeath Beach, with the quieter Baby Bay only 0.5 miles away, you’ll have the sand and surf at your doorstep. Both beaches feature seafront saunas, the perfect way to warm up after a cold-water dip. When it’s not beach weather, lace up your boots and follow the South West Coast Path through National Trust-managed landscapes, climbing to Pentire Point (1.5 miles) for panoramic views stretching to Trevose Head. Head inland to the market town of Wadebridge (7 miles), set on the River Camel and host to the annual Royal Cornwall Show, a lively celebration of farming, food and local culture.

Sustainably designed with solar panels and an air source heat pump, this lodge also boasts a clever reverse-level layout to make the most of its sea views. On the ground floor is a stylish king-size bedroom, and a zip-and-link twin (can be comdined to make a continental-style king), both with en-suites. Upstairs, a third en-suite bedroom offers a flexible zip-and-link twins (can be combined as a double). The first floor also hosts the main living spaces, including a sleek, well-equipped kitchen and an airy lounge-diner with bi-fold doors that open onto a balcony, blending inside and out seamlessly. A second sitting room provides a cosy retreat with plush seating and a Smart TV.

Outside, enjoy the last of the day’s sunshine on the paved patio, complete with dining set, charcoal BBQ, heated outdoor shower, surf storage and wetsuit drying rack. Lovely balcony accessed via a lounge. Private parking is available for up to three cars.

The house is fabulous - particularly if you have teenagers (two living spaces and their own bathrooms!) and if you are outdoorsywe used the outdoor shower everyday and having the coastal path so close made morning dog walks very convenient! So good we booked to come back the night we arrived!!
