Blending chic design with modern comfort, this beachfront Cornish cottage offers the perfect coastal escape for larger groups of friends or family – an unforgettable setting for surfing retreats and seaside adventures. Just a few streets from Polzeath Beach, it puts surf, sand and sea right at your fingertips. Wander past the surf school, wild spa and a handful of seafront bars and eateries on your way to that wide arc of white sand, ready to ride the waves or simply relax on the shoreline. From the beach, soak up panoramic views of Pentire Point (2 miles), Gulland Rock and the Trevose Head Heritage Coast, before following the South West Coast Path to explore them up close. Around Trevose Head, discover the scenic area affectionately known as the ‘Seven Bays’, named for its seven pristine beaches along the headland. Start from the village of Constantine Bay (7.5 miles), rounding off your adventure with refreshments at its much-loved gastro pub.

Despite its sophisticated décor and high-end finish, this two-storey property retains a welcoming warmth, creating a true home-from-home for family getaways. Its reverse-level layout ensures the finest sea views are reserved for the open-plan living space upstairs. Here, high ceilings, skylights and double-aspect French doors flood the kitchen, lounge and dining room with light and coastal views. The kitchen offers everything you need for cooking, complete with a breakfast bar, so no chef has to cook alone. Next to it, find the spacious dining area and the unique addition of a seating area with a glass chessboard, perfect for after dinner. If chess isn’t your game, the cushion-strewn sofas set opposite a Smart TV will fill your evening with entertainment instead. A separate WC completes this floor. On the ground level, four restful bedrooms await, each styled in calming neutral tones with fresh white linens and artworks inspired by the local area. The master king-size and a double both feature en-suite shower rooms, while two twin bedrooms share the gleaming family bathroom with a rainfall shower.

Patio doors open from the kitchen and lounge onto a balcony, where outdoor seating and a charcoal BBQ make the most of those panoramic sea views on sunny afternoons. At ground level, an enclosed grassy garden offers more space to play, while an outdoor shower is ready to rinse off sandy toes after the beach. Private parking for up to four cars completes the offering.

  • 4 bedrooms – 1 king-size, 1 double, 2 twins

This is the second time we've stayed at Cothelstone. It's a beautiful house in a lovely location. The sea views are amazing - not to mention the stunning sunsets. It has a lovely open plan layout, so works well for a family to mix. There is plenty of parking and the garden is secure for the dog. Will definitely be back.

This is the second time we stayed at Cothelstone and it already feels like home from home. The house is absolutely georgeous, light and spacious. Bedrooms downstaris consist of 2 double rooms (both ensuite) and 2 twin rooms, with another family bathroom. Ideally for 2 families of 4 to stay. The kitchen is well equiped and we enjoyed making food Read morethere. The living room has super comfy sofas and beautiful sea views. There is a garden hose outside to hose down the dog after a sandy or muddy walk and there is an outdoor shower for the ones who have braved the sea. The property is located at easy walking distance to the shops and the beach. There is plenty of off road parking. A goody bag on arrival with local produce (fresh milk, bread, muesli, tea, coffee and biscuits) was very much appreciated. We absolutely loved our stay there and would highly recommend. Hide
