This stylish coastal retreat enjoys a quiet setting in New Polzeath, less than 0.5 miles from its sandy beach. Sleeping eight guests, it’s the ideal bolthole for families and groups of friends looking to explore the beautiful beaches and coast paths of North Cornwall. New Polzeath is an extension of Polzeath, and is set back from the hustle and bustle of the main village. Take a short, 0.5-mile stroll into Polzeath to dine in one of the many independent restaurants and pubs. Polzeath Beach is one of Cornwall’s surfing hot spots, and a whole host of water sports equipment is available to hire in the village. Keen walkers can join the South West Coast Path and stride out towards Daymer Bay or the village of Rock. Nearby attractions include Newquay Zoo, Camel Creek Family Adventure Park, and Tintagel Castle (all within 25 miles).

This inviting home-away-from-home has a subtle coastal theme running throughout. At the heart of the home is a large lounge/kitchen/diner with bi-fold doors leading out to the garden. Prepare hearty meals for the group in the chic kitchen area, to share around the wooden dining table or outside on the patio. For informal dining, there’s also a stylish breakfast bar. After dinner, head over to the tranquil lounge area to curl up on the sofa with a good book or catch up on your favourite programmes on the Smart TV. Completing the ground floor is a refreshing shower room and a handy utility room with space for drying wetsuits. Upstairs, discover four delightful bedrooms, all decorated in delicate coastal hues and with ample storage for all your holiday attire. Choose from two super-king-size bedrooms – one of which has an en-suite shower room – or two inviting twin bedrooms. A contemporary family bathroom rounds off the accommodation.

Outside, the enclosed garden provides a peaceful haven, with colourful borders and a large lawn where children can play. In summer, stretch out on one of the sun loungers or gather at the outdoor table for a spot of al fresco dining. There’s also a heated outdoor shower – ideal for rinsing off after a day at the beach. The property has private parking for two cars.

Borlase is a beautiful house in a great location, well equipped and very comfortable. Plenty of space for a large family to enjoy a holiday together. Would highly recommend and hope to return.
