A quiet getaway for up to six guests, this airy and welcoming retreat is an ideal base for walkers, beach lovers, water sports enthusiasts and nature spotters. The property is part of an exclusive development in the sweet hamlet of Penmayne, on the edge of Rock, a popular coastal village. Here you will find a wide variety of friendly pubs and restaurants, with the secluded beach at Porthilly Cove just a mile away. Rock Beach is 1.5 miles away, along the Camel Estuary – from here a foot ferry can take you across to Padstow (2.5 miles), a vibrant harbour town with some fabulous seafood restaurants. Heading north along the coast there are some gorgeous beaches to discover – Polzeath, Greenaway Beach and Daymer Bay are all within 2.5 miles. Port Isaac (8 miles) and Tintagel (14 miles) are also within easy reach.

A gentle ramp leads up to the front door and into this bright and cheerful single-level retreat. Inside you will be immediately greeted by the spacious coastal-themed open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with a high vaulted and beamed ceiling and large windows allowing natural light to flood in. The pretty lounge has a Smart TV and sumptuous seating, with a fantastic dining area over to one side. Occupying a corner, the stylishly arranged kitchen is thoughtfully organised and fully equipped, with plenty of storage space and a useful breakfast bar. When it’s time to turn in for the night you will have a choice of three bedrooms: a charming bunk bedroom, a twin and a contemporary king-size room which has its own en-suite shower room. The accommodation also features an elegant bathroom with a separate bath and shower.

Stepping outside, the sheltered sundeck to the rear provides a lovely spot for everyone to unwind in, with ample seating and a BBQ. To the front there’s a lawn with space for younger guests to play. There’s also a handy wetsuit rail and outdoor shower, with parking available for two cars.

A beautiful holiday cottage with everything you could possibly need for a fabulous holiday. Lovely comfy beds, a good BBQ and a lovely welcome pack. Not to mention the clean and modern living space. We loved it!

Fabulous place to stay, would book again. Great location, local store, fish shop, butchers, petrol station, bakery, pubs and lovely restaurants all in walking distance. The accommodation perfect, clean and well stocked. On our arrival a lovely assortment of local produce was there as a welcome. 5 star stay, thank you.
