Offering cosy, fresh and airy accommodation for up to eight guests, this welcoming holiday home is perfect for walkers, water sports fans and beach lovers seeking a quiet getaway close to the Camel Estuary. Sitting within the grounds of a former manor house, the property is perfectly situated for discovering the popular village of Rock, with a choice of great pubs and restaurants within easy reach, and two gorgeous beaches close by: Rock Beach (1 mile) and Porthilly Cove (0.5 miles). Heading north, there are some wonderful coastal spots including Daymer Bay, Greenaway Beach and Polzeath, all within 2 miles, with Port Isaac (8 miles) and Tintagel (14 miles) a little further east. From Rock, a foot ferry will take you across the river to the vibrant port of Padstow (2 miles), famous for its fantastic seafood restaurants and working harbour.

Entering this tastefully furnished and beautifully decorated cottage, an inviting hallway leads you through into the snug and cosy lounge/diner. With a TV, plush seating and a pebble effect electric fire, the lounge is a great space to unwind in after a great day out. To one side there’s a sociable and brightly lit dining table, perfect for enjoying family meals which you’ve prepared in the stylishly arranged and fully equipped kitchen. The ground floor also has a handy utility room and a useful shower room. Heading up to the first floor, you will find a refreshing bathroom and three of the property’s four light and welcoming bedrooms all with built-in wardrobes: there’s a delightful bunk room, a cosy twin with a TV, and a lovely super-king-size room with a dressing table, TV and en-suite shower room. The final bedroom is on the second floor: a cheery king-size room with built-in wardrobes, a TV, an en-suite shower room and a large skylight set in the characterful low sloping ceiling.

From the main living area double doors lead out into the garden with a patio and a sweet lawn, with ample outdoor furniture providing a great spot for a BBQ. Heading down the garden path, a gate leads through to a larger garden shared with neighbouring properties, surrounded by towering trees and featuring a boules court. Parking is available for two cars.

Everything was great. The garden was secure and safe for our young children and dogs. The bedroom space was great and the location was ideal.
