We thought it was important to make you aware of some issues we had during our stay at Little Widden, St Agnes. There were numerous broken fittings including lamps, radiators, a carbon monoxide monitor and a bedside lamp. The storage radiator in the living room actually fell off the wall and luckily didnt cause an injury. The downstairs floor wasRead more extremely dirty and there was a musty smell that has permeated our clothes and persists since we have returned home. The washing machine was faulty and the bathroom was very cold. We even received an electric shock from the light fitting over the living room table twice. While the heater in the second bedroom wasnt faulty, it wouldnt be safe for use with children staying. Whilst the owner was very responsive and answered our questions, unfortunately we dont think the property is fit for rental in its current state. Were unsure about the criteria for a four-star rating but considering the quality of the cottage we disagree. Response from Cornish Horizons - many thanks for your review of this cottage, we are sorry that you had various issues during your stay. Since then the owners have been quick to address everything that has been mentioned with items repaired or replaced completely as well as a new cleaner. We are confident that the property is completely ready for future guests to have the best possible stay in this lovely cottage. Hide
