For outdoor adventures, escape to Dalby Forest, 12 miles away, where you can spend the day discovering walking, mountain biking, and running trails and admiring the breathtaking views. The popular seaside town of Scarborough is only 18.5 miles away and is your gateway to the scenic Yorkshire coastline. Bring your buckets and spades, and your water sports gear, to enjoy the long stretches of sandy beaches. Alternatively, explore the picturesque villages and market towns of Malton, Thornton-le-Dale, and Helmsley, all within 15 miles.

This is a delightful three-storey stone property that has been beautifully decorated to retain much of its original character. The thoughtful touches in the decor and furnishings, along with plenty of creature comforts and calm hues, make for a truly relaxing stay. Eat together in the dining area and plan your next day of Yorkshire adventures. Head through to the lounge space, full of charm with an ornamental feature fireplace and beamed ceiling. The lounge is the heart of the retreat, perfect for gathering together to unwind on comfortable sofas, chat or watch a movie on the Smart TV. Head upstairs to the first floor, where you’ll find a sleek, contemporary family bathroom and two of the bedrooms. The first is a spacious king-size bedroom with wood-panelled walls and handy USB charging ports. The second bedroom is a double with a built-in wardrobe providing plenty of storage space. On the top floor is a cosy twin bedroom, ideal for children, built into the eaves, which makes it a characterful space with some areas of restricted head height.

This cottage is full of character and is VERY well equipped. Its location is great, being so near the heritage railway station and right in the centre of Pickering. The owners have obviously put some thought into this accommodation. However, beyond the control of the owners is the parking. This became a nightmare with neighbours deliberately parkiRead moreng at an angle which took up all the limited space available nearby. We usually had to move/repark our car due to time restrictions or had a fair walk to find long-term parking spots. We left 2 days early because of this. Hide

We had a wonderful stay at The Sidings, it is a beautiful cottage that has been thoughtfully refurbished. Short stroll into Pickering and the perfect location for exploring the moors and nearby coast.
