The cottage is in a lovely quiet location, and is spacious too, so accommodated us as a family of 6 nicely. We enjoyed lots of outdoor walks, beaches, and wildlife - Scotland never disappoints us. We were able to contact the owner easily, should we wish to (this was not needed during our stay).

An excellent base from which to visit this corner of Caithness. We love the beach at Dunnet and all the cliff top walks. Lovely views from many of the rooms. We enjoyed watching hares from the kitchen window. The Rayburn ensured we were always warm. The main bedroom is beautiful but a lot of the house is a bit tired and would cost a fortune to retuRead morern to its former glory. That said we had everything we needed and were very comfortable. Comfortable and clean. Lovely quiet location. Owner was very friendly and helpful when we had a small query regarding the heating. The village is just about a mile away, so is walkable. However it's via roads with no pavement or lighting so worth taking a torch if expecting to be out in the dark.

My go to accommodation for my twice yearly holidays to Caithness. I am so glad I found this accommodation a few years ago. It is idyllic and far better than any hotel Ive stayed in in the area. If you are looking for peace and tranquillity you could find nowhere better. Andrew is lovely and always at hand should you have any questions.

Beautiful location and charming old farmhouse. Spacious garden and very friendly and helpful owner. We were blessed with good weather which made it even more enjoyable. The house could do with some refurbishment, especially the kitchen. Otherwise lovely.
