Right on your doorstep, Budle Bay offers lovely walks, incredible birdwatching, and spectacular sunrises over the water. Just 3 miles away, the village of Belford provides handy shops and welcoming pubs. Visit Bamburgh (2.5 miles), where you can tour the castle, run free on the golden sands, and tuck into a family feast at one of its excellent restaurants. From nearby Seahouses (5.5 miles), take a boat trip to the Farne Islands, home to puffins, seals, and other fascinating wildlife. Venture a little further to the Holy Island of Lindisfarne (10 miles), a magical tidal isle rich with heritage and natural beauty. Alternatively, Alnwick Castle and Gardens (15 miles) beckon with fairy-tale towers, interactive exhibitions, and the enchanting treehouse restaurant.
