Part of a terrace of idyllic properties in the heart of Burton Bradstock, this charming cottage is an ideal retreat for families in search of a peaceful escape. The village sits amidst beautiful countryside, with easy access to a wide range of attractions. Just a short walk away is Hive Beach, a stunning stretch of the Jurassic Coast, while the lively harbour and eateries of West Bay lie only a couple of miles along the shore. Each day brings new adventures, whether you're uncovering the historic village of Abbotsbury, climbing the scenic heights of Pilsdon Pen, or visiting the iconic Cerne Abbas Giant, all of which are within 20 miles. The popular seaside town of Lyme Regis is 12 miles away, and the vibrant market town of Bridport, with its vintage shops and flourishing arts scene, is also nearby, making this the perfect base for exploring Dorset and East Devon.

Step inside from the street and you’ll find an entrance vestibule ideal for leaving boots and coats. Next is the welcoming lounge, where one wall is lined with a stylish media unit complete with a Smart TV. Just opposite this is a row of deep-cill windows that flood the room with natural light. Settle down in front of your favourite show or simply relax and admire the stunning original inglenook, which is home to a decorative fireplace. Leading on from this room is a cosy dining area, before you come to the kitchen at the rear of the cottage. Doors lead from the dining space into the garden, or you can head through the lounge and up a couple of steps to the shower room. A further flight of stairs rises to the first floor, where there is a choice of two king-size bedrooms, a triple room with 3’ single beds and a bathroom.

Enjoy time in the garden and make use of the multiple seating areas. You’ll find a breakfast space and bench immediately beside the doors, perfect for your morning coffee, steam chairs ideal for soaking up the midday sun and a fabulous sociable dining area as you wander through the space. A generous lawn, shaded by mature trees and boasting a cute little Wendy house, makes this the perfect spot for the little ones to play. Parking can be found in the surrounding streets (subject to availability), with unloading possible directly outside of the property.

The cottage provided us pleasant shelter from the heatwave. Despite the cottage being on a fairly busy road, though a small one, its conveniently located close to a great pub and the walk to the beach was idyllic. We will certainly aim to be back. The artwork from a local Bridport artist was stupendous.

A lovely cottage , bigger than we expected. Great size living area and bedrooms. Would book again.
