Stay at this welcoming cottage at any time of the year and enjoy its coastal location and easy access to amenities. Ideal for couples or small families, it’s located in the heart of Embleton, close to the spectacular Embleton Bay, which offers safe, clear waters and a wide, sandy beach with a dramatic view of ruined Dunstanburgh Castle. The local golf course is renowned for its challenging links with breathtaking vistas of the Northumberland coastline. Take the coastal path to see the majestic castle and keep going to reach Craster, 3 miles, an unspoilt fishing village that’s famous for its kippers – said to be a favourite of the royal family. In Low Newton-by-the-Sea, just 2.5 miles in the opposite direction, you can stroll on the beach or enjoy the sea views from the pub. For a fascinating day out, magnificent Alnwick Castle is just 8 miles away.

The end-of-terrace stone cottage is set over two storeys and has a spacious, stylish interior, designed for comfort and relaxation after days out in the fresh Northumberland air. Take the four steps up to the front door and enter the hall, where you can hang coats and store footwear. Stroll through to the tranquil, open-plan living space, which has a large electric wood burner effect fire as its focal point. In the sleek kitchen the chef of the holiday will find everything necessary for whipping up delicious meals, including a microwave, air fryer and dishwasher. Serve up at the round dining table, before snuggling on the plush seating with a good book or a movie on the Smart TV: the perfect end to an invigorating day. The two delightful bedrooms are on the first floor, both with ample storage. The serene king-size room also has a dressing table, Smart TV, and views to the village green and beautiful Norman church. A sleek shower room on the same floor complements the handy WC on the ground floor.

At the back of the house there’s allocated off-road parking for two cars and, tucked to one side, you’ll find a sweet little patio area, strung overhead with pretty lighting. This is the perfect spot for a wake-me-up coffee, a relaxed sundowner or an evening spent dining alfresco as the stars come out.
