What a wonderfully located lodge. A little smaller than the photos led us to believe, but still plenty of room for us and the dog. Thoughtful touches - dog treats and towels, the log burner already made up with stuff for more fires should we need them (we didn't!), the home made goodies and pint of their own very creamy milk, luxurious towels andRead more flannels, - all added to the experience in a positive way. It is in the countryside away from the busyness of town life but near enough to at least four different supermarkets to make sure you can stock up on food. The ice cream restaurant is a must for a visit and there are plenty of fish and chip shops, restaurants and takeaways nearby if you don't want to cook. A lovely welcome from a lovely couple providing us with a very relaxing holiday. Hide

Thank you Jane and Gavin for such an amazing stay. We had a lovely time - the lodge is well equipped, spotless and in a perfect location for both peace and quiet, and a little sight seeing. Its central location means you arent too far from amenities (local shops, etc) but far enough to get away from it all. Our lab Layla loved all the space she hadRead more to play, and the complimentary doggie biscuits, cakes and fresh milk from the dairy completely made our stay. Thank you again, we will definitely be back. Hide

Small place but very comfortable, wanted for nothing while there. And the log burner was extremely efficient, more so than ours at home.

We had an absolutely lovely stay at the Beyond the Burn Lodge. The place was clean, cosy and spacious, in wonderfully peaceful surroundings. The kitchen was well-equipped and we enjoyed the wood-burner every night of our stay! Both Jane and Gavin gave us a warm welcome and were happy to help us when we had a question. Highly recommend!
