Whether you’re looking to answer the call of the coast or enjoy a peaceful countryside retreat, this stylish seaside home offers the perfect base for families and groups of friends touring North Devon together. The host village of Woolacombe is a surf paradise thanks to its 3-mile stretch of golden sands that sit just under a mile from the property. Once at the beach, outdoor enthusiasts can follow the South West Coast Path for scenic jaunts into the North Devon National Landscape to the south, or towards Mortehoe and Ilfracombe to the north (all within 7 miles). Closer to home, embark on unforgettable horseback adventures with a visit to Woolacombe Riding Stables (1 mile). Wildlife spotters will enjoy a trip to neighbouring Ilfracombe, where they can join an Ilfracombe Sea Safari to spot seals and dolphins. Other charming destinations include Exmoor National Park (5 miles) and the fishing village of Appledore (22 miles). Before stepping into the entrance hallway of this welcoming home, take a moment to appreciate its elevated position accessed via a small flight of external steps and surrounded by countryside.

Head inside, kick off your shoes and walk through to the light-filled lounge, which features a scenic bay window and comfy seating arranged around a Smart TV for cosy movie nights. For more relaxation, a snug sits behind the lounge with a TV – ideal for younger guests seeking some quiet time. When stomachs start to rumble, head to the kitchen and find an airy, well-appointed space with everything needed for a self-catered stay, including French doors allowing indoor/outdoor living on sunny days. Enjoy the chef’s work at the breakfast bar if numbers are low, sit down for formal meals in the dining room, or dine alfresco out on the patio. At the end of each busy day away, head upstairs and retire to a choice of four restful, scenic bedrooms: a master king-size room that converts to a twin on request, two stylish double bedrooms, and a cosy twin room perfect for little ones. Serving the bedrooms and completing the home are two en-suite shower rooms and one family bathroom.

From sunrise to sunset, the large patio area, surrounded by mature planting, is a haven of tranquillity, boasting garden furniture and a BBQ, perfect for entertaining. Ideally placed to enjoy the verdant views, the hot tub tucked away in the corner of the patio provides ultimate relaxation. Accessed via a pathway, the enclosed sloped, lawned garden has been designed with children in mind, equipped with a climbing frame sure to impress. Guests will also find off-road parking for four cars. Up to 2 dogs are welcome in off-peak periods only, and a charge of £20 per dog, per week will be payable directly to the owner.

Nice property with great views. The walk to and from the beach is a lot further than implied and if using the road there are sections with no pavement so not ideal for families. Had requested double bedroom to be made as a twin but this did not happen. Climbing frame in garden is falling apart and is dangerous, this was a real shame as our grandchiRead moreldren were staying with us. Overall had a good time. Hide
