Set down a winding country lane and feeling very tranquil, this semi-detached stone barn conversion is an ideal hideaway for up to four guests looking to explore Cornwall’s delightful countryside and coastline. From the doorstep you can join the South West Coast Path for scenic clifftop walks or take a 2-mile trip to Seaton’s sand-and-shingle beach for a day by the sea. A little further along the coast you’ll discover hidden coves and sweeping bays such as Whitsand, Lansallos, Talland and Cawsand, all within 13 miles. The bustling harbour town of Looe, 3.5 miles, offers boutique shops, tempting eateries, another sandy beach, and opportunities for water sports, boat rides and sea safaris. For family adventures, head to Adrenalin Quarry, 6 miles, for thrills on zip-lines, go-karts and the aqua park, or visit Porfell Wildlife Park, 11.5 miles. The world-renowned Eden Project is just 24 miles away.

In this compact yet thoughtfully designed holiday escape, a warming atmosphere makes it easy to feel relaxed and at home from the moment you enter. Inside, a blend of vintage touches and modern comforts creates an inviting interior that perfectly complements the cottage’s setting. In the open-plan living area, a country-style kitchen, sturdy dining table and cosy seating set the scene for family meals, board games or simply unwinding in front of the Smart TV. The well-planned kitchen includes a microwave and dishwasher to make holiday cooking and clearing up stress-free. Children will love the ground-floor twin bedroom, with its pretty beds and lovely linens, and there’s a convenient bathroom adjacent featuring a free-standing bath. Head upstairs to find a spacious bedroom that has a real wow-factor – its striking vaulted ceiling with exposed beams complemented by a beautiful double bed. This special room has its own en-suite shower room – a perfect private retreat.

Step outside to your own enclosed patio, a peaceful spot ready and waiting for al fresco meals or evening drinks while you soak up impressive views across the surrounding fields. Guests are also welcome to explore the shared gardens, which feature a large stretch of lawn ideal for games, a pretty wildflower meadow, a small orchard and a play area for younger visitors. A garden bench is perfectly placed to make the most of the uninterrupted rural vistas – the ideal place to sit back with a glass in hand as the sun goes down.
