Perfectly placed between Lake Windermere and Ullswater, this characterful property sits in one of the most picturesque valleys in the Lake District. Just under 3 miles from Windermere, guests can enjoy boat cruises from Ambleside (4 miles), Brockhole (3 miles), or Bowness (4.5 miles), while Ullswater is within easy reach for the famous steamer cruises and lakeside walks. For walkers, Wansfell Pike and Troutbeck Tongue are close by, alongside countless fells and trails that begin right from the cottage door. From the outside, this cottage is the picture of a traditional Lakeland home with stone walls and slate roof, but step inside and you’ll find a beautifully updated, contemporary interior. The dual-aspect lounge welcomes you with picture windows, comfortable sofas, and a wood burner. Upstairs, a handcrafted oak staircase leads to two restful bedrooms: a king-size master with en-suite shower room, and a second double served by a boutique bathroom with feature bath. Original beams and stonework blend seamlessly with fresh décor and modern finishes to create a warm and inviting retreat.

Guests can enjoy two outdoor patios: a gravelled terrace at the front for morning coffee, and a rear patio accessed from the dining area, perfect for alfresco dining or an evening glass of wine with views across the Troutbeck valley. Parking for one car is directly outside the cottage.
