Escape with your loved one to this fantastic first floor suite that's nestled within the spacious grounds of Lonan Country House and Gardens. Tucked away at the foot of Ben Cruachan and a 9-hole golf course nearby, this property is the ideal choice for outdoor enthusiasts. Argyll and the Isles are home to over 60 castles, so history buffs are sure to be in their element. Dunstaffnage Castle and Chapel, Kilchurn Castle and St Conan's Kirk are all within a 15-mile drive. Discover the seafood capital of Scotland, Oban (13 miles), and use this bustling port to go island hopping, watch magnificent sunsets and sample some of the world's most famous whiskies. Spot dolphins, basking sharks, seals and puffins on one of the many boat trips available. Round off your day with live music in one of the many welcoming pubs before returning to curl up in front of the wood burner.

Walking into the idyllic house, and heading to the first floor you will find this beautiful suite. On entering, there is a hallway before you enter the cosy living room. Relax on the deep sofas while listening to the crackle of the wood burner and catch up on your favourite TV shows on the Smart TV. Next is the stylish kitchen/diner, the perfect place to prepare romantic meals with its ample appliances and dine at the generous dining table. Heading back through the hallway, discover the king-size bedroom, which has been neatly decorated with Scottish-inspired accents. Finishing off the interior is the stylishly designed shower room.

We have just returned from a week at Lonan House. We were in the Campbell apartment, which if you book through holidaycottages.co.uk is called the Connel. Our apartment was nicely furnished & very comfortable, the living room has a wood burner to keep you cozy, we didnt use it as the weather when we were there was roasting .The kitchen has everythiRead moreng you could need with a beautiful Mountain View. The gardens are ideal to sit and enjoy the sound of birdsong and we saw many deer and rabbits in the evenings. Its a truly peaceful place to relax.Taynuilt is a good base for discovering Argyle & Butes stunning scenery. Hide

This wonderful property is ideal for exploring Argyl and Bute, also being only 12 miles for Oban is well suited for the ferries to the Western Isles. This is one of the best properties that we've ever stayed in. There was a wonderful welcome pack and the attention to detail was second to none, it really felt like a 'home from home'.
