This characterful holiday retreat is in the elegant coastal town of Dartmouth, on the banks of the River Dart. Sleeping six guests across three bedrooms, the property makes an excellent base for families and friends looking to explore the English Riviera and the breathtaking South Devon landscape. Dartmouth is a vibrant town with a great range of shops and eateries, as well as museums and art galleries to potter around. Enjoy cruises along the river, or step back in time aboard the heritage steam train which runs between Paignton and the pretty village of Kingswear. As expected, the area is a paradise for keen walkers, and you can join many walking routes in the town, including the South West Coast Path and the Dart Valley Trail. Nearby attractions include National Trust Greenway, Dartmouth Castle, and Paignton Zoo (all within 8 miles). Catch the ferry to Kingswear and climb aboard a steam train at the Dartmouth Steam Railway.  Dartmouth is also a fantastic base for exploring the South West Coast Path.

Enter the property on the first floor, via steep externals steps down from the street. From the hallway, through the door on your right you’ll find a refreshing shower room to your right. Heading further along the hallway, there is a spacious kitchen with wooden units, a tiled floor, and all the equipment needed for a self-catering break. Opposite to the kitchen is a fabulous lounge/diner with large windows looking out across the river, and a door leading to your private balcony. Unwind in here, enjoying the views from the plump sofa or watching a film on the Smart TV. To the rear of the room is a dining table for sharing mealtimes as a group. Completing this level is an inviting twin bedroom and downstairs you’ll find a delightful double bedroom and a cosy twin. The double bedroom has an en-suite shower room, and there’s also a handy WC.

Outside, you’ll have access to a private decked balcony with glorious views across the water to Kingswear – the perfect spot for a sundowner at the end of a busy day. Please note, the property is accessed via a flight of very steep steps from the street above. A parking permit is provided for a public car park, 0.5 miles from the cottage.
