Make wonderful holiday memories at this lovely semi-detached bungalow sitting in the delightful Lakeland village of Pooley Bridge, which sits at the northern tip of Ullswater. Offering two lovely bedrooms, this is the perfect accommodation option for small families or groups of friends who are dreaming of a peaceful base while they discover the untamed splendour of the Lake District together. Set off for a stroll along the pretty northern shores of Ullswater (0.5 miles) and then treat yourself to something sweet in one of Pooley Bridge’s cosy teashops. Alternatively, head into Penrith (5 miles) to wander through the mighty medieval ruins of Penrith Castle and learn all about the town's history at the Eden Museum. Or head off to Glenridding (8 miles) to relax by the lake, or tackle the trek to Aira Force waterfall – a magnificent cascade of water plunging 65 feet through a rocky ravine. Lake Ullswater and villiage pubs, resturants tea rooms are within a 5 minute walk. The Steamer is with in a 10 minute walk. There is also easy walking distance to fells.

Park your car in your private parking spot (there’s room for two cars) and head towards your idyllic holiday cottage. Step inside and you’ll be greeted by a bright and welcoming hallway with plenty of storage space for your outdoor gear. To your left, a sleek kitchen invites you to whip up a delicious meal for your loved ones. The kitchen flows easily into an elegant dining room with a pretty feature fireplace – the perfect place to share stories over lazy dinners. Bathed in natural light, this dual aspect room has French doors that lead out into the rear garden. Continue along the corridor and you’ll discover the living room, where soft light, inviting decor and a crackling wood burner create the ideal space to unwind. When it’s time for bed, there are two lovely bedrooms to choose from – a stylish double and a handy twin. Completing the layout, you’ll find a stylish family bathroom with a bath with a shower over it.

Access the enclosed rear garden through the French doors from the dining room, and you’ll find a secluded patio area with views towards the Lakeland fells – an exceptionally pretty spot where you can share al fresco meals with your loved ones and a perfect place for dogs and kids to play.

Just home from our first stay at The Nook, certainly wont be our last. Lovely welcoming bungalow in centre of PB but also very quiet & peaceful. Room on drive for two cars albeit a bit tight. Id suggest unpacking before driving right in. Comfortable quality furnishings and any amount of kitchen utensils if you needed to cook. Lovely welcome packageRead more on arrival (thank you).
