Set in the centre of Flash, this spacious stone-built home is made for gathering. Sleeping up to nine guests, it’s perfectly placed for getting everyone outdoors and making the most of this beautiful corner of the countryside. From the doorstep, you can join high-level moorland paths and peaceful country lanes. A must-visit walk leads to Three Shires Head (3 miles), a much-loved spot where three counties meet. A short drive away, the elegant spa town of Buxton (5 miles) makes an easy and rewarding day out. Explore the impressive Poole’s Cavern, wander through the beautifully kept Pavilion Gardens, or take in the views from Solomon’s Temple. Just a few feet away Britain’s highest village pub offers a traditional setting for a pint, while the local cafe and stores is a firm favourite, known for its generous breakfasts, lunches and excellent homemade cakes.
A double staircase leads up to the front door. Inside, you’re welcomed into a practical boot room – handy for coats and muddy shoes – before heading through to the heart of the home. Double doors open into an open-plan living area with wonderful wooden floors, where the dining area sits to one side and the lounge to the other, with an inviting snug corner tucked just around from the staircase. The kitchen sits just off this main area, easily accessed via two entrances, keeping everything connected while still offering its own sense of separation. The layout is thoughtfully arranged across different levels. Downstairs, you’ll find two bedrooms: one with a super-king bed and an additional single, and another with a double bed. A wet room serves this level, along with a useful cupboard housing a washing machine and dryer. Upstairs, there are two further bedrooms – a twin and a double – alongside a gorgeous family bathroom complete with a freestanding bath and separate shower. A wraparound landing overlooks the main living area, with a small table and chairs creating a quiet nook, while the mezzanine level includes a daybed and a desk for reading or catching up on a few emails.
Outside, a small courtyard with seating is just the place for a morning coffee. Two designated parking spaces are located a short distance away, making coming and going a breeze.
