Tucked away in a picture-postcard village, this white-washed stone cottage is perfect for a family, friends or couple looking to unwind. Full of charm and history, this delightful cottage is bursting with character – from its exposed stone walls and timber beams to antique furnishings and beautiful mullion windows in the lounge and master bedroom. With tea rooms and a welcoming pub close by, you can refuel locally before setting off to explore the Forest of Bowland National Landscape, where stunning scenery and walks begin right from your doorstep – ideal for dog owners too. A short trip takes you to Clitheroe (7 miles), with its historic castle and bustling markets, or to Skipton (14.5 miles), the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales. For day trips further afield, the beauty of the Lake District and the Lancashire coast are just over 30 miles away.

Step into the welcoming lounge, where a wooden floor, an original fireplace with a wood burner, and a Smart TV create a lovely spot to sit back after a day out. The kitchen/diner blends rustic style with modern convenience, boasting Swan appliances, a Belfast sink, and a flagstone floor. A door leads straight out to the garden for summer breakfasts or evening drinks. At the foot of the stairs, you’ll find a timber beam that’s over 1,000 years old. Upstairs, the super-king-size master bedroom promises a restful night, while the cosy double bedroom offers lovely views across the countryside. A sleek shower room completes the first floor.

Outside, the enclosed rear garden is a quiet haven, with a patio and seating area overlooking fields, as well as a lawn for children or dogs to run and play. An external utility room houses a washing machine for added convenience. On-street parking is available just outside, with a free car park 50 metres away.

Primrose Cottage is a gem. It's warm and cosy and very comfortable. The village is lovely, as is the surrounding countryside. Lots of walks and places to eat (it's a real foodie delight!) -the Coach and Horses is a must, as is Holden Clough Nursery! We have two dogs and virtually everywhere was dog-friendly, with ours being given very much apprecRead moreited treats and fuss. Definitely recommend! Hide
