The cottage was located in a very quiet situation and the layout was ideal for us. There was plenty of space to relax both in company and more privately. The furnishings were good quality and comfortable - apart from the double bed which could do with a new mattress and better quality pillows. I would return as it ticked a lot of our boxes.

As returning guests of Coquet Cottages we are used to a certain standard of accommodation and sadly this one did not quite meet our expectations. It has not been maintained to the high standard we are used to and it would appear from reading the visitors book that we are not the first to notice this, so I am surprised and disappointed action has noRead moret been taken to rectify the situation. The location itself is lovely and quiet and really close to the amenities in Seahouses and easy to drive to our favourite places along the Northumberland coast. This was a big plus for us. The cottage was well equipped for a short self catering break, but it could have been cleaner. Heating and hot water were great. Furnishings were very good and comfortable apart from the pillows which need replacing. The bucket for using with the mop has a crack or hole in and leaked water everywhere. Parking and the little courtyard garden would be great if only the garden maintenance was done regularly. It was very overgrown and dangerous, especially in the dark. We had to call someone out to cut back after one of our party had a fall. This was dealt with immediately by the customer service team , a member of which came out herself with her scissors! Overall we had a good stay, but we wont be returning to this property. Hide

A comfortable stay and good location but not up to Coquets usual standards. We were lucky with the weather otherwise we would not have wanted to spend extra time at the property. Disappointed that issues raised by previous people had not been actioned upon. Scruffy and unkempt/dirty outdoor space and v dark internal rooms which smelt v strongly of Read moredog and lounge furniture needed a thorough deep steam clean. We ended up tidying the leaves and weeds ourselves! Bathroom towels smelt dank and couldnt be used. The property is in need of maintenance and looks tired. Hide

Well cared for, spacious cottage. Quiet cul de sac position. Short walk to Seahouses village centre and the harbour. Well sited for exploring the surrounding places of interest.

We had a comfortable stay but just felt this property was not as clean as other cottages we have rented from Coquet. No way could we have eaten outside as the area was very dirty and unkempt.

A lovely cottage that was let down by some easy maintenance issues . The shower head over bath didnt have a hook to hold it up high so you could have a proper shower , you had to just hold it and spray yourself which wasnt good ! The shower in the main bedroom needed some of the tiles regrouted as they were black .It was also a very small cubicle tRead morehat you could hardly move around in ! Sand was found all round the carpet in the lounge so the hoovering hadnt been done properly Hide
