Whether you are in a family or a group of friends there is enough accommodation for everyone. The generous living areas on the ground floor are perfect for dinner parties, entertaining and relaxing. Whilst upstairs there are five bedrooms all stylishly furnished offering guest high quality linen for a luxurious and comfortable night's sleep. The master bedroom on the top floor is ideal for a couple looking for something extra special with its open plan bath incorporated within the room. Outside there is a lovely rear garden and patio perfect for enjoying on the warm summer evenings. Only a stone's throw from the beach and famous Thorpeness Meare, 10 The Whinlands is perfect at any time of year and somewhere you will want to book again and again. Shop: 2.5 miles Pub: 0.1 miles.

Just a mile north of Aldeburgh is this fascinating seaside village, built in the 1920s by Glencairn Stuart Ogilvie, an architect, barrister and playwright. The mock Tudor style of building is now the hallmark of Thorpeness, where the amenities include the Dolphin Inn, the Thorpeness Hotel with its 18-hole golf club, a country club with tennis courts and the Mere - a large shallow boating lake with tearooms nearby. The beaches are mainly sandy and behind the village is a myriad of footpaths over heath and common land.

Lovely light and spacious house, good for larger groups, good modern appliances and great location. Its a pity the council dont empty the rubbish bins weekly and the previous holidaymakers hadnt taken their empty bottles to the bottle bank - the maintenance man kindly did that. Overall we had a great stay and would recommend this property
