With contemporary decor and a hot tub this detached lodge style property is set beside a fishing lake and is a great choice for a family holiday with easy access to the coast. Sturminster Marshall is the perfect touring base, with road links ideal for exploring the county town of Dorchester, 17 miles to the west, which is home to a selection of museums, cinema and a wide range of pubs and restaurants. Heading south east will take you to the popular coastal towns of Poole (7 miles) and Bournemouth (10 miles), where you will find fantastic sandy beaches and traditional shopping streets. To the North is the market town of Blandford Forum (6 miles) and verdant Blackmore Vale. The Jurassic coast is also within easy reach and there are many much loved destinations to visit including Swanage Bay, Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door and Ringstead Bay, all within 15 miles. For a fun filled family day out head to Monkey World or the Tank Museum (10 miles).

A gated entrance leads to a long, shared gravel driveway, which meanders through the adjacent touring park to the private entrance into this detached lodge style property. Once inside you are met with a welcoming hallway complete with boot room and utility space, with washer/dryer. Two double bedrooms can be found on the ground floor, both with en-suite bathrooms with rainfall shower and WC. A spectacular open plan space spans the front of the property, with large glass doors giving panoramic views over the fishing lake. This light and bright space has been planned with care to create a lounge space with Smart TV and wood burner, a contemporary kitchen, which is well equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and space to dine in comfort.

Heading outside via the sliding doors from the open plan lounge/kitchen/diner will take you onto a contemporary covered deck, with hot tub, furniture and fantastic lake views. Expansive areas of lawn surround the property and lead to the lake, which is unenclosed, therefore care should be taken with children.

From the moment we arrived at Waterside Lodge, we knew wed chosen somewhere special. Steve and his daughters gave us such a friendly, genuine welcome, and the basket full of welcome goodies was a lovely touch that instantly made us feel at home.The lodge itself sits in a wonderfully tranquil setting, perfect for switching off and unwinding. The secRead moreure gated access added peace of mind, and once inside, we were treated to a beautiful view that made every morning feel like a fresh breath of Dorset air. Everything was spotlessly clean, clearly cared for with pride, and the relaxing hot tub became our favourite place to end each day. The location is ideal too tucked away enough to feel peaceful, yet with easy access to lots of nearby attractions, making it a great base for exploring.Overall, Waterside Lodge is the perfect blend of comfort, calm, and thoughtful hospitality.
