Set in an idyllic spot between two picturesque villages, this retreat makes a fantastic holiday home for nine guests seeking a relaxing hideaway, perfect for exploring the glorious landscapes of the Suffolk/Essex border. The area has a host of quaint villages with friendly pubs and miles of rural walks. The historic town of Ipswich (5 miles) features a range of great places to eat and drink, with attractions including the Regent Theatre, The Baths, and Christchurch Park. The stunning Dedham Vale National Landscape (7 miles) centres on the Stour Valley and is famous as a source of inspiration for the great painter, Constable. Also nearby is the old wool town of Hadleigh (6 miles), home to Kersey Mill and RSPB Wolves Wood. Other local highlights include Suffolk Food Hall, Alton Water, and Jimmy's Farm and Wildlife Park (all within 9 miles).

Entering the cottage via the rear door, a handy utility room welcomes you and offers space for coats and boots, before leading through to the elegantly arranged main kitchen. Find all you need in this well-appointed space – and in the second kitchen with more amenities and workspace – to cook up family feasts, which can be enjoyed in the handsome dining room. After dinner, unwind in the light and airy lounge where soft seating is arranged around a Smart TV, perfect for cosy movie nights together. At the end of each day away, retire to a choice of five restful bedrooms: three king-size bedrooms (one with an en-suite bathroom) and a single room await on the ground floor, while the first floor hosts a cheery twin room. Serving the bedrooms and completing the interior is a family bathroom and separate shower room.

Stepping outside, the enclosed garden has a generous lawn with plenty of space for younger guests and four-pawed companions to run and play. The patio area is furnished with a table and chairs, offering a relaxing spot for dining alfresco when the weather allows. Guests will also find ample off-street parking.

Overall we were very happy with the accomodation. Wonderful location with lots of outside space. The additional kitchen was very helpful and we used this for our drinks. Welcome items were unexpected and much appreciated. Plenty of hot water and comfortable beds. Would definitely book this again.

A really fantastic house, spotlessly clean, well decorated, equipped with everything you could possibly need. As a group of 7 friends, it was great to all have our own bedrooms, plenty of bathrooms and kitchen / living space. Loved the extras provided for our arrival, bread, butter milk etc. Lots of easy off road parking and loved the space around Read morethe property and lack of neighbours, other than the horses. Didn't use the garden due to the weather, but would be great during summer months. A great location for exploring a lovely part of Suffolk, we did a 6 mile walk from the house including a pub stop at Hintlesham, as well as walking in Dedham Vale and at Pin Mill. Thank you for providing a perfect place for a friends get together Hide

The house is delightful with plenty of space for our family (6 adults, 3 children) Everything was fresh and new with good attention to detail. Very thoughtfully appointed. Warm and comfortable.
