This characterful converted barn offers a peaceful stay, set within a tranquil East Devon valley. Sleeping up to 6, it’s the only holiday cottage on the farm, ensuring you’ll have complete privacy. Surrounded by 90 acres of oak-dotted meadows, enjoy streamside walks where you might spot kingfishers, woodpeckers, or even deer. Being just 4 miles from the coast, Beer and Branscombe Beaches, Lyme Regis, and Sidmouth are all nearby. From the farm you can take in the breathtaking views, feed the lambs, collect chicken eggs, and watch milking from a special viewing gallery. Perfectly located for exploring East Devon and the Jurassic Coast, local attractions include Pecorama Miniature Railway and Gardens, Beer Caves, the Colyton to Seaton Tramway, the Donkey Sanctuary, and the Norman Lockyer Observatory. Bridport offers a wonderful weekend market and antiques quarter for fun finds. Colmer's Hill is a great walk and full of history. National Trust Golden Cap is close to Lyme Regis and affords amazing ocean views on your walk. This serene retreat is ideal for nature lovers and explorers alike.

A shared driveway leads to the private parking area and covered entrance into the property. Once inside you’ll find a handy separate WC and a utility room complete with washing machine, plenty of space for boots, coats, dogs and a microwave. Next head into the stunning vaulted ceiling open plan lounge/kitchen/diner. This spacious room has areas for cooking, socialising around the six-seater oak table and relaxing in comfort beside the wood burner. Perhaps put a film on the Smart TV or open the double doors to the courtyard garden. Leading from this room on the level is a king-size bedroom with en-suite shower and WC and a few steps from the other end of the living area will take you down to a further king-size bedroom and the bathroom, which has a striking free standing, dual ended tub and WC. A staircase rises from the open plan living space to the final bedroom, a twin, which is set into the eaves. This room boasts its own en-suite shower and WC and has some areas of restricted head height, which only add to its character and charm.

Heading outside via the French doors in the living space you’ll find a lovely walled garden, with furniture, charcoal BBQ and views up and over the surrounding unspoilt countryside. To the front of the property there is a picnic bench, ample parking and an open orchard with fruit trees and a pretty unenclosed pond (care is to be taken with children and dogs).

Definitely a ''cottage'' with a wow factor!! The website pics are good but in reality, the holiday home was far superior. The quality of craftsmanship in the decor was to a very high standard.
