Perched on the edge of the pretty village of Letham, this charming two-bed retreat offers breathtaking views and direct access to scenic countryside walks. It’s ideal for couples or small families, and just 3 miles from Ladybank – home to handy local amenities, a train station and a championship golf course that has hosted The Open. For days out, head to the award-winning Lindores Abbey Distillery (8 miles) or the Scottish Deer Centre (2 miles). History buffs will love exploring Falkland Palace (8 miles), a Renaissance treasure with royal connections and beautifully kept gardens. Fancy a day on the coast? Drive to St Andrews (14 miles) – with its world-famous Old Course – or tour the East Neuk of Fife, where quaint fishing villages, hidden coves and the Fife Coastal Path promise plenty of seaside charm.

Quality furnishings, thoughtfully considered decor, and plush details make the inside of this Scottish home extremely appealing. On arrival, step through the welcoming hall – a handy place to leave coats and boots – and into the bright and sumptuous lounge, where comfortable sofas, countryside views, a Smart TV, Sonos Bluetooth speaker and a roaring wood burner await. Off the hall is a snug with cosy seating, a desk, yet more soul-soothing views and shelves of books if you fancy a quiet moment. The lounge flows into a bespoke, well-equipped kitchen with a dining area made for sociable meals (or romantic ones, if you’re with your partner). The rear hall gives access to the bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC. A sunroom with doors to the garden creates a lovely spot for morning coffee. Upstairs are two beautifully styled bedrooms – a king-size and a double.

Outside, a utility room houses a washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer, while the enclosed garden boasts multiple seating areas, a charcoal BBQ and a furnished summer house for laid-back afternoons. Guests can help themselves to seasonal fruit and herbs growing in the garden. Private parking is available for two cars.

Beautifull cottage in a stunning location with fantastic views. A little bit too far from St. Andrews but it wouldnt put us off staying again.

This cottage is in an excellent location in Fife, easy to find and has a good view. The track to it is slightly lumpy but nothing serious my Yaris coped well with it. The cottage itself is very well equipped, warm and has everything. Just like being at home.
