This stylish cottage boasts a prime position, right in the heart of Yorkshire’s ancient market town of Skipton. Sleeping six guests, with two double bedrooms and a twin, the property makes the ideal retreat for families looking to explore all that North Yorkshire has to offer. The cottage is just 200 metres from Skipton’s bustling high street, where you’ll find a great range of independent boutiques and galleries, as well as cosy pubs and excellent restaurants. Whilst out and about, take time to admire the town’s magnificent architecture and soak up history at the 900-year-old castle. Enjoy beautiful walks, including along the canal towpath and Skipton Castle Woods. During your stay, you can also visit popular Dales walking routes at Malham Cove (16 miles) or Bolton Abbey (6.5 miles). Take a day trip to the elegant spa town of Harrogate (22 miles away).

Enter the cottage into the inviting lounge/diner, which has beautiful wooden furniture and is styled in warm tones and textures to create a cosy atmosphere. Relax in here after a day of adventure, stretched out on one of the comfortable sofas to read a book or watch your favourite programme on the Smart TV. There is also a foldable dining table for all to enjoy meals together. The separate kitchen has sleek, shaker-style units and is equipped with everything needed for a successful self-catering getaway. Upstairs, you’ll find two tastefully decorated double bedrooms, along with the refreshing family bathroom. From one of the double bedrooms, steep stairs lead to a twin bedroom. Due to the low, sloping ceiling, this room is more suitable for children.

On a summer’s evening, sit out in the enclosed patio garden and fire up the BBQ to cook some delicious food. There is secure bike storage in the outhouse, and the cottage has on-street parking, subject to availability.

We all had a very enjoyable 4 days at the house . All mod cons and the house was snuggly and warm . The decor is very nice and very comfortable beds with good bedding. The location was also good. For the price it was good value . We would definitely return in the future .

We had a great time at the cottage. It is a 5 minute walk into the centre of Skipton. It could sleep 4 adults & 2 children, but I think it would be a little cramped, but was ideal for the two of us. It was clean, comfortable & cosy. We'll definitely use it again when we're in Skipton
