This gorgeous Isle of Wight escape combines handsome period character with a family-friendly layout and an excellent location. The impressive 220-year-old stone property is at the heart of village life in Nettlestone, with a local shop 100 metres away and a pub within 0.5 miles. When it’s time for the beach, choose between the peaceful sands of Priory Bay and Seagrove Bay (both around 0.7 miles) or check out the charming seafront, sailing scene and village shops at Seaview (0.5 miles). Appley Beach near Ryde (2 miles) also has a wide stretch of sand and promenade, and walkers and cyclists can join scenic coastal routes linking Seaview, Ryde and beyond, with sea views keeping you company much of the way. Thanks to the island’s compact size, it’s easy to reach all its popular tourist spots, National Landscapes and Heritage Coast, with the isle’s westernmost point just 22 miles away.

Inside, the cottage immediately creates a welcoming and refined feel, with its grand high ceilings and elegant décor throughout. The central hallway leads through to a well-equipped kitchen that sets you up for easy holiday cooking (or elaborate meals), while two separate sitting rooms offering plenty of space to relax, socialise or unwind in different settings. Enjoy sit-down meals in the dining area, a real social hub, complete with a sofa and French doors that open straight onto the garden. On the ground floor you’ll also find a twin bedroom and a convenient WC. Upstairs, you’ll find a king-size bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, a double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, a further king-size bedroom, and a twin room with a double and single bed.

The elegance continues outside, as the cottage is surrounded by a beautiful, mature garden filled with established plants and plenty of space to relax.
