Property code: OC-S33015

An impressive, modern seaside cottage, this single-storey retreat enjoys a commanding position looking out over Newlyn and the sea. Sleeping six guests, the three-bedroom holiday home is less than 0.5 miles from the heart of the fishing port, with its interesting selection of shops and restaurants. Stroll the same distance to visit the famous Newlyn Art Gallery or to pick up the South West Coast Path. Reserve a seat on a wildlife cruise from the harbour, also 0.5 miles away, and spend warm days swimming or surfing from Newlyn Tolcarne Beach, just under 1 mile away. Picture-postcard Lamorna Cove, with its clear waters and dramatic cliffs, is 4 miles away. Plan a day trip to Marazion, 6 miles away, then take a boat over to magical St Michael’s Mount, with its historic castle and garden. At certain times, you can also walk there via the causeway when the tide is out.

Head inside to find bright, modern accommodation designed to maximise the incredible views. As you enter, you will immediately come upon the sumptuous bedrooms and stylish bathrooms. To the left, there is a dual-aspect king-size, with the luxury of a chic en-suite shower room, while to the right is a twin bedroom that can also be arranged as a super-king-size if discussed at booking. The lovely double bedroom and the family bathroom, which offers both a shower and a bath, can also be found here. Wander on down the hallway to emerge in the magnificent, L-shaped, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. This gorgeous space has high vaulted ceilings and beautiful wooden beams. At one end, a great bank of glass frames the view and brings the natural light flooding in. Slide the patio doors back during the summer months to bring a sea breeze in. Sink back on the plump sofas to soak up the scenery or watch the Smart TV. Amble over to the generous kitchen to find all the equipment you need to help you cater for your party whenever you choose not to dine out. Rustle up delicious feasts, then head to the dining table and gather round for lively holiday meals. A utility space, with a washing machine and tumble dryer, is in the basement, which is accessed from the terrace.

Step out onto the glass-fronted balcony from the living space to survey the Cornish coast. Congregate on the raised terrace to dine against the picturesque backdrop. Parking for this cottage is on a driveway approximately 20 metres away.

  • 3 bedrooms – 1 king-size, 1 double and 1 twin with zip-and-link beds (which can be made into a super-king-size on request)

Extremely safe and comfortable property with absolutely breathtaking views across Mounts Bay. The photos really don't do the place justice! It's exceptionally well appointed, with everything you could need for a family holiday. We were a party of four adults and one child and all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We became a bit apprehensive after seeinRead moreg a previous review but really needn't have worried, we experienced none of the mentioned problems. There was a good parking space close by in front of the property's garage. We didn't use the garage during our stay but I believe we could have done so if required. The front door handle needed a little extra oomph to lift and lock but was easy to use once we got the knack. The host was friendly and helpful on arrival and when we had a question about recycling. The house and garden was wonderful, we will definitely be back! Hide

Great location and views for the property but some challenges within what is listed and what you get. There is no off road parking as specified and the parking actually blocks another properties driveway (also ~100m up a public walkway), there is also no secure enclosed garden as stated and the garden leads straight onto a public footpath. There weRead morere problems with the shower that doesnt drain and the toilet button also locks and doesnt push back up meaning there is a constant water flow unless sorted manually. There are limited to no cleaning options - mop for floors, hoover etc or worktop cleaning solutions. Both doors to enter are difficult to open and close and are not secure. And previous had problems with the lights tripping. Whilst a great location, there is investment needed for the prices an comfort youd expect Hide

Wonderful holiday accomodation in a idyllic location. Probably the best accomodation we have had in 100+ day travels around the UK and Ireland, all on a budget. Loved the welcome pack, the views, and the laid atmosphere. Was a wonderful 7 day getaway of rest and relaxation.

Fantastic view of Penzance and across to St Michaels Mount. Spacious bungalow but the walk down Old Paul Hill to Newlyn is very steep.
