Experience the very best of the Broads National Park in Norfolk with a stay in this peaceful, waterfront cottage perfect for couples or small families. The charming village of Horning sits just a mile away and boasts a selection of pubs, restaurants and shops. The property overlooks the River Bure – the best way to explore its waters is by boarding a paddleboat from Horning or hiring a boat from nearby Wroxham (4 miles). Walkers will love the wide choice of scenic walks all around that follow the riverbanks and cut into the surrounding countryside – those who prefer exploring on two wheels can hire bikes nearby. More adventures await in Salhouse Broad (6.5 miles), where you can hire canoes to explore the region’s famous network of waterways. For family days out, BeWILDerwood (1.5 miles) offers an exciting adventure park, while the vibrant city of Norwich sits just 12.5 miles away.

Before stepping into this splendid cottage, take a moment to appreciate its scenic position overlooking the water from a popular marina. Head inside and find that the property boasts a reverse-level design, with the two bedrooms on the ground floor, to ensure the first-floor living space maximises the peaceful views. The ground-floor bedrooms include a master super-king-size room and a spacious twin, both of which boast TVs and en-suite shower rooms for comfort and convenience. Head up the cottage stairs to uncover the social heart of the home – the scenic, open-plan living space that combines the lounge, kitchen and diner. Thanks to the two Juliet balconies, the space is flooded with natural light – swing open the glass doors on balmy days to let the fresh Norfolk air flow through. Unwind in the lounge after days of adventure; sink into the soft sofas and flick on the Smart TV for some evening entertainment. When stomachs rumble, find that the kitchen boasts everything needed for cooking up holiday feasts, which can be enjoyed at the dining table, at the breakfast bar, or alfresco-style out on the private decking.

Outside, the large, decked courtyard offers the best spot to enjoy the tranquil water views. Spend sunny afternoons relaxing in the swing chair, and look forward to al fresco meals and evening tipples using the outdoor table and chairs. Guests will also benefit from private parking for two cars.

Absolutely great. Well placed for visiting many locations around the broads and the Norfolk coast. The cottage is very comfortable, with both bedrooms being en suite and a toilet on the upper floor living area. Would definitely come here again. Views are lovely from the living area and decking onto the water front. Whats not to like.
