Enjoy pond dipping and walking trails around the reserve. Cyclists can pick up the National Cycle Route which runs through Welney and there are lovely countryside walks to explore on your doorstep. The village has a traditional pub serving local produce, and you’ll find more eateries in March, where you can hire narrow boats to cruise along the River Nene, and in the historic market town of Downham Market (10 miles).
