Situated on the banks of the River Barle, the lively market town of Dulverton, 2.5 miles away, is home to some fabulous independent shops, charming tea rooms, and a fantastic selection of pubs and restaurants. Those who love life by the water can enjoy a great range of water sports, as well as plenty of walking and cycling trails winding around the 530-acre site of Wimbleball Lake, 9 miles away.

The spacious, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner accessed via a large set of French doors, a few steps down from the parking area, truly embraces the beauty of your surrounding scenery, boasting far-reaching countryside views that will capture your imagination. Combining stunning original features such as exposed stonework, beams, and flagstones with elegant, contemporary decor, the heart of this home-away-from-home offers a warming ambience that invites the whole family to unwind; the feature wood burner and Smart TV set the scene for pure relaxation. Through the kitchen, you’ll find a handy utility boot room. Overlooking the open-plan living space, built into the eaves of the barn with a low, sloping ceiling, the charming mezzanine level features a useful small double sofa bed that can accommodate two additional children. Back downstairs, three steps up from the kitchen, you’ll find three delightful bedrooms, all featuring stunning wooden floors and sophisticated en-suite facilities. A super-king-size room and two king-size rooms with all bedrooms converting to twins on request.

There are French doors on both sides of the barn; one set opens onto a large private decking area with seating, and the other opens into the enclosed garden, which includes a grassed area and a cottage-style space with a pergola over a seating area, offering plenty of room for the whole group to enjoy the delightful countryside setting. Outside, there is also a field where dogs can be exercised, but if there is livestock in the fields, dogs must be kept on a lead. Private parking for three cars is available at the barn.

Excellent property clean very well equipped, rear garden secure for pets, beds comfortable, beautiful views of the countryside, 5 minutes drive into Dulverton where there are fresh produced shops and a butcher. The owners are very helpful and can't do enough to help you enjoy your holiday. What a gorgeous cottage! Really well done, beautifully equipped and perfectly clean. The attention to detail and style of the decor is fabulous. In an absolute belter of a spot, we'd go back again in a heartbeat.

Absolutely exceptional. The barn is pristine. It is very tastefully newly decorated. Plenty of parking, beautiful views from every window, underfloor heating, wood burning stove, modern kitchen, all rooms en suite, and a lovely welcome hamper. We were welcomed by the owners who were genuinely interested in our thoughts and wanted to ensure everytRead morehing was just right. We were very lucky to be the first guests at this fantastic cottage. All the rooms feature great en suite bathrooms and the amazing open plan living and kitchen space made this a great family friendly cottage to spend time in. The local walks were good and there is a field for use on hand to walk the dogs if required. The local town DulvRead moreerton offers all you could need including a great little pub with good food and its only a 6 minute drive away. Overall an amazing cottage to spend time in as a family with a lovely kitchen and living room space. A true home from home in a beautiful setting Hide
