A fabulous, single-storey hideaway, this former barn offers dog-friendly accommodation for couples and small families eager to explore spectacular Cornwall. Sleeping four guests, the two-bedroom holiday home, which has a hot tub, is situated at Bodmin Parkway, where there is a train station and car hire. Visit Bodmin (4 miles), known for its historic gaol, as well as its shops and eateries. Bodmin Moor, with its dramatic landscapes, is 3.5 miles away, and the rugged Cornish south coast is 12 miles away. Head off for the day to picnic on the white sands or swim in the crystal seas at Lantic Bay, 14 miles away. Plan a trip to the world-famous Eden Project, 12 miles from your base, or enjoy a day at Tintagel, 20.5 miles away, where you can visit the famous castle associated with legendary Camelot and King Arthur.

Step into the enticing, stone barn to discover an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with a beamed ceiling. This space will quickly become the hub of your holiday home. Pause to take in the views across rural Cornwall before heading over to the kitchen to unpack any groceries you have brought with you. Pop your bottles in the wine fridge to chill them for later and start preparing lunch. Carry your plates outside or call everyone over around the dining table to dine. A great location to explore North Cornwall. The cottage itself is finished to a really high standard and was immaculate throughout. The hot tub is lovely to sit outside in the evenings and was an added bonus on what was a rainy week. Our two pooches loved the garden area and had plenty of space to run and explore. This barn conversion is spacious, light and airy with lovely countryside views. It is quiet and peaceful and being able to walk from the cottage to Lanhydrock house and gardens was wonderful. Bodmin Parkway station is nearby but we rarely heard the trains so they did not disturb us at all. There was a lovely welcome hamper on arrival which wRead moreas very much appreciated after a long journey. The owners and housekeeper obviously take great pride in their property. It shows! The cottage was beautifully presented and the hosts provided a warm welcome. Despite having concerns on being close to the railway, it was not noisy at all. We were able to enjoy quieter evenings in the hot tub looking at the stars. The beds were very comfortable , the location was great with lots of cycle rides from the door or nearby.
