And less than 2 miles away, Horncastle – famous for its antique shops and vintage stores – retains a traditional market town feel with an array of historic inns and independent eateries serving local Lincolnshire specialities. Only 3 miles away, Wolds Wildlife Park offers exotic animal encounters, while those with a passion for heritage and architecture should head to the stunning castle and cathedral synonymous with the city of Lincoln (22 miles). With peaceful, tree-lined streets and an elegant Edwardian atmosphere, Woodhall Spa (7 miles) is another must-see; also, the North Sea Observatory is the only purpose-built marine observatory in the UK, or Skegness (22 miles) for traditional seaside fun.

The single-level accommodation is a fabulous home-from-home for any group of friends or family. Step inside and the open-plan living space is sure to be the social hub of your holiday. Cook up tasty meals in the kitchen – equipped with all the self-catering essentials – then enjoy lively conversation as you dine together before settling down on a choice of comfortable lounge furniture with the Smart TV for entertainment. When it’s time to sleep, three inviting bedrooms are along the hallway – two king-size and one single room, each with space to unpack and store your belongings. The master bedroom has French doors giving direct garden access and shares a family bathroom with the single room, and for ultimate convenience there’s an en-suite shower room connected to the other king-sized bedroom.

Fully-glazed doors lead from the main living space into the garden which has room for children and pets to run around while the adults unwind. Fire up the BBQ and pizza oven for al fresco meals to remember; you may well see some fabulous star-scapes after-dark too. There is a parking for three cars on the driveway.

Lovely location, we had previously stayed in Foxglove so we knew we liked the quiet location but so close to Horncastle for shopping & eating out

This was a lovely place to stay, everything was immaculate, lots of space, plenty of crockery, a lovely welcome pack from the owners. The beds were very comfortable, and the underfloor heating is great, the washing machine and tumble dryer are a God send if you have small children. Outside there are two lovely sitting out areas, complete with a bbRead moreq, and ample parking for two cars. There was just a couple of things we found frustrating; in the bathrooms there was nowhere to hang towels or a robe, this made drying towels awkward to say the least, the other was the wifi code, you need a QR Scanner to obtain it, in the end we had to phone the help line number to get the code. At the same time we explained that a couple of the light bulbs weren't working and someone came out quickly to replace them. All in all a lovely place to stay and plenty of places to visit for both children and adults. Hide

Pristine cottage in a great rural location for exploring Lincolnshires coast and country. Great rural views from the cottage to enjoy the setting sun. Very spacious cottage with plenty of room to live and relax. I would be very happy to stay here again in the future.
