With the picturesque Ceredigion Heritage Coast practically on your doorstep, guests can enjoy easy access to the breathtaking coastline of Cardigan Bay, which stretches in both directions from the historic village of Llanon. It’s a favourite for walkers on the Ceredigion Coastal Path and followers of the Dylan Thomas Trail. Join the Wales Coast Path to spot seals, porpoises, and bottlenose dolphins in the magnificent shoreline that surrounds you or embark on a boat trip from New Quay (13 miles) for a closer look at the local wildlife. For a traditional bucket and spade day on the sand, the breathtaking beaches of Penbryn, Llangrannog, and Aberaeron, which sit along the idyllic Cardigan Bay coast, can all be reached within 20 miles of the doorstep.

Up the narrow staircase to the first floor, where you'll discover a spacious and stylish shower room with a contemporary walk-in design and two bedrooms, one king-size and one twin, tucked beneath the eaves; sloping ceilings and exposed beams enhance the cottage’s charm.

From sunrise to sunset, the enclosed garden with a lovely lawn and patio area offers a haven of tranquillity, with plenty of space to enjoy al fresco dining whilst soaking up some fresh air. Now featuring a charming gazebo above the garden furniture, guests can relax in comfort and style — a perfect spot to unwind or share a meal outdoors. An outdoor tap is conveniently available — perfect for filling up dog bowls or rinsing muddy paws after a countryside walk or a splash in the sea. Outside of the cottage, while the property doesn’t have a designated parking space, guests are welcome to park for free in the nearby pub car park. What a charming cottage! It is perfectly located for hiking the coastal path, venturing into the rugged mountains of mid Wales or visiting the pretty harbour town of Aberaeron, with its famous colourful houses. The vibrant and cosmopolitan university town of Aberystwyth is only 20 mins drive away, which is home to the National Library of Wales as wRead moreell as interesting shops, cafes and pubs. The cottage was immaculate when we arrived and had a warm and cosy feel. The beds were exceptionally comfortable and there is a sizeable grassed garden which no doubt would be lovely to relax in during the summer months - I think this must be the first time I've stayed in a cottage with its own Quoits lawn! The heart of this cottage is the living area - the warmth and glow of the log burner a particular treat during the winter months. The decor is charming and thoughtful and adds to the character of the property. Everything worked as expected and there was excellent WiFi throughout the property. The beach is just a short stroll away, passing a playground, handy if you have young kids. It was ideal for morning walks with the dog and catching the spectacular sunsets in the evening. We loved our stay in this cottage and can't wait to return. Hide

We really enjoyed our stay in this characterful cottage. Lots of original features like exposed beams and stone floor in the living room. Wood-burning stove also very nice & made it cosy. The property was clean and had everything you needed. Beds were comfortable. The back garden was nice as well. We stayed in March so didn't get to use it toRead moreo much, but it's private and i think would be a bit of a sun trap later in Spring and through Summer. Parking was fine. We usually left the car in the car park opposite the White Swan pub and walked back. You can also park close enough to the drive for cars to pass. We did this on the last night and had no problems. All of the surrounding areas are lovely - Llanon, Aberystwyth, Cardigan and Aberaeron. Plenty of walking routes but the stand out might be Aberaeron to Llanerchaeron. Overall we had a great stay at Eiddwen, and are hoping to go back there again this summer Hide

The cottage was spotless and everything accessible. The information about appliances was very useful as well as the local area. Need to follow information about parking! We managed to park near the cottage every day.The beds were comfortable - we had coffee in the garden which was enjoyable y. The welsh cakes and bara brith was a nice touch.EveningRead mores were cosy with the log fire. WiFi worked. A quaint old and characterful cottage, but it could have been a bit cleaner. The kitchen and the equipment in it needed a wipe over before we could use them. We found the sofa really uncomfortable and the beds were too firm for us. Storage in the twin room is limited. We enjoyed our stay but left a day early to get back to our own comfy beds. We visited with two young children for a long weekend. The cottage is lovely, everything we needed was on hand, and the beds were really comfy. The wood burner was also a real bonus, with kindling and logs available in the shop round the corner. We were caught in the middle of Storm Amy the whole weekend but thankfully the cottage had enough toRead more keep the kids entertained with some games and books, and a smart TV with iPlayer/Netflix/YouTube. The internet was great on my Android phone, and covered the whole cottage easily. We were perfectly situated for our (wet and windy!) trips to Aberystwyth and Aberaeron, and the village itself was lovely. Big fan of both Sglods chippy and Rockin Robin's record shop in the village. Llanon is a very nice village and all the residents were very friendly. Very short 5 minute walk to the sea with exceptionally clean air. We used the local shop, the butchers (which we thoroughly recommend)as well as the The White Swan for dinner (huge portions. Parking not available at the cottage but we used both laybys in the village as pub caRead morer park always crowded. WiFi was an issue with android phone - worked after a couple of days with Apple phone. Many interesting villages and towns to visit in the vicinity. Good bus service which we used several times.
