An exclusive and impressive, gated entrance opens to showcase this 10-acre site with fishing/paddleboard/sporting lake just for you and designed solely for couples. The water fountain gates at the entrance and the central fish fountain in the car park denotes the quality the owner has shown not only in the accommodation but the whole site. Woolacombe’s beautiful sands are 2 miles away, while Croyde is 5 miles away and Saunton being 9 miles away and all provide excellent surfing. Alternatively, head over to Ilfracombe (3.5 miles), where you can see Damian Hirst’s Verity, dine in the quayside restaurants, relax on Tunnels Beach or enjoy a boat trip along the coast. Walkers are well-catered for with nearby access to the South West Coast Path, Exmoor and the popular Tarka Trail, which offers off-road walking and cycling. Other attractions include Watermouth Castle, Lynton Cliff Railway and National Trust Arlington Court, all within 18 miles.

Enter this studio lodge into the entrance hall where there’s a door onto a spacious shower room with a large shower and a WC. Heading on to reach the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner and screened bed area. Large French doors allow the natural light to flood in, and the Sonos built-in music system allows you to play your favourite music via Bluetooth, through the speakers in the ceiling – even while you shower. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner beckons you to relax with a comfy sofa, Smart TV and a well-equipped and designed kitchen offers everything you need to cater for your stay. A dining table, electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. A screen separates the sleeping area from the living space and provides a king-size bed with storage underneath and ample space to hang and store clothes.

Heading outside from the living space to find the lovely patio with your own private hot tub, offering excellent views of the exclusivity lake (robes and slippers provided). Another outdoor area, on the other side of the lodge, provides loungers and dining table and chairs, plus a charcoal BBQ. The dog exercise field is down a path to your right. Guests are free to wander around the 10 acres amongst the lakes, over the bridges and adjacent fields. Large gates at the entrance ensure privacy. There is private off-road parking for two cars. Ample space in the car park for friends in camper van or motor home, but this is strictly by prior arrangement with the owner (and at extra cost).
