Thoughtfully converted to a high standard, this spacious barn offers ample living space for a family or group of friends to share. The property sleeps four guests and is set in the delightful village of Old Sodbury, where keen walkers can join the scenic Cotswold Way. A 2.5-mile section of the trail takes you past a fine medieval church to an Iron Age hillfort, with a wealth of other footpaths and charming villages on the long-distance route to explore. Feast your eyes on 2,500 types of trees from around the world at Westonbirt, the National Arboretum (10 miles). Adventurous souls will take the Treetop Walkway, with a Spot the Gruffalo trail for children to enjoy. Picture-perfect Tetbury (15 miles) was an important market for Cotswold wool in the Middle Ages, but today it is better known as a centre for antiques and the home of King Charles and Queen Camilla.

Step inside the front door of your single-storey holiday home, leave coats and boots in the handy utility room and enter the light-filled, open-plan living space. The large patio doors opening onto the garden, high ceilings and exposed beams create a lovely, airy ambience that links the tastefully furnished interior with the rural scene outside. Take it easy on the comfortable seating in the lounge area, where you can watch the TV and catch up using the fire stick, or look out for wildlife in the fields beyond the garden. The kitchen has all the kit you could need to whip up tasty dishes to enjoy in the cosy dining corner, or you could treat yourself to dinner in one of Old Sodbury’s traditional pubs. The barn has two spacious and inviting bedrooms. These comprise of a double with an en-suite shower room and patio doors to the garden, and a pretty twin. A jack and Jill bathroom, accessed from the twin bedroom and the hallway with a shower over the bath, completes the layout.

Outside, the enclosed garden is laid to lawn with a large patio. There is a table, chairs, a parasol, and a charcoal BBQ, making it perfect for al fresco dining in your rural hideaway. There is also a hot and cold doggy wash for those muddy paws. There is private parking for two cars.

Really lovely accommodation, very well finished with everything provided. Fully enclosed garden with table and chairs, ideal for a relaxing evening if the weather is good. 20 minute walk to village pub which served really good food. The common at the top of the road is ideal for dog walking ( cows may be there in summer). We needed wellies in MarcRead moreh as all the footpaths were waterlogged in parts, the outside dog shower was a blessing! Castle Combe, Tetbury and Westonbirt Arboretum well worth a visit. Hide

An amazing property with stunning views. Everything within had been considered. We couldnt want for more. The place was dog friendly and our golden retriever was well catered for, with outside shower, towels, bed and biscuits! Our hosts were nearby should we have needed assistance, but we didnt feel encroached upon. A splendid few days away from itRead more all with family. Hide

A fantastic property all round. Clean, genuinely enclosed garden with cracking green views and has everything you need and in a beautifully secluded spot away from the hustle and bustle, but only a short 10 minute drive from loads going on in CS & Yate.
