Heading south, you can visit the gorgeous Glansevern Hall Gardens near Berriew (8.5 miles) and then on to the ruins of Montgomery Castle (12.5 miles). The area is rich in breath-taking walks, with the magnificent landscapes of the ancient Offa’s Dyke National Trail passing close by. The golden sandy beaches of Barmouth, southern Snowdonia's most popular seaside resort, are approximately an hour's drive away.

Heading outside, the delightful private garden is a haven for birdwatching and wildlife spotting. The patio has a BBQ and plenty of outdoor furniture so you can unwind in the sun. The cottage is surrounded by 7 acres of peaceful woodlands for you to explore, with fishing rights along the river. From November 2025, you can also enjoy the views as you luxuriate in a bubbling hot tub. Parking is available for two cars to the front of the property, and there’s also space in the garden for bikes, with hot and cold taps for washing down bikes and muddy dogs.
