One week stay for two people. Cottage was excellent; clean, very comfortable and well-equipped. Quiet location a short way up a track on a working farm. Lovely welcome pack. Selection of books, games available. WiFi trouble-free. The cottage is about 4 miles south of Kirkwall - giving easy access to Orkney's amenities and most places easy to get Read moreto. Lots of historical sites within easy reach - ancient and more recent. We found the cottage well situated for exploring nearby bird watching sites. Plenty of super walks too. We would very happily stay again and recommend to others. Hide

We loved it here. The cottage is well located, well furnished and well-heated. We could ask no more. Good shower, nice linens/towels, spare blankets, comprehensive info folder. Theres no tumble drier but theres a washing machine, an indoor clothes airer and an outside line with pegs; I love an outside line, so was thrilled. Nice local produce proviRead moreded (the butter is fabulous!), and starter supplies of tea/coffee/milk, so dont buy before you arrive. Theres a big Tesco just a few miles away. Just a lovely place to be with lovely owners annd excellent comms. Well be back - Orkney is gorgeous and so is this cottage. Thank you. Hide
