Property code: OC-S32726

Perfect for a family holiday or friends sharing, this welcoming property is set in the delightful seaside village of Hope Cove on the scenic South Devon coast. The detached home sleeps six guests and is a mere 100-metres from Outer Cove beach, one of two sandy beaches—the other is Inner Cove— divided by a rocky headland. Enjoy swimming, kayaking and more in their sheltered waters (with seasonal lifeguards in Outer Cove). Hope Cove has pretty thatched cottages, pubs and restaurants and is a great starting point for walks along the glorious South West Coast Path. Explore a hidden, sub-tropical paradise at the National Trust’s Overbeck’s Garden (4.5 miles). Tranquil paths with colourful blooms and towering palm frame spectacular views of the sea and the Kingsbridge Estuary. The Maritime Museum in charming Salcombe (5 miles), is a treasure trove of seafaring artifacts, while Kingsbridge (6 miles) houses a leisure centre and swimming pool, along with the intriguing Squeezebelly Alley.

From the hallway of this light and airy retreat, walk into the spacious, all-white kitchen, fitted with all you need to rustle up meals using local produce. The dining area seating six continues the white theme and leads to the comfortable lounge, with a large sofa and easy chair where you can snuggle up and watch the Smart TV. Ceiling beams enhance the cosy, country-style ambience. More beams, painted white, embellish two charming ground-floor bedrooms. These comprise a king-size, with a lovely period ornamental fireplace and a twin. A family bathroom with a shower over the bath completes the layout. Upstairs are another spacious, king-size bedroom with sea views from the window and a bathroom with a shower over the bath. There is off-road parking for one car, with slightly narrow access.

French doors from the lounge open onto an outside staircase leading to a terraced garden and gravel area. With garden furniture, this is a peaceful spot for quiet drinks and outdoor dining. There is parking for 1 car.

'Sunnyside' is in the right place, not far from the pub or the pizza place.
