Property code: OC-S32714

This ground-floor annexe is located in the vibrant town of Llangollen, which is set within the stunning backdrop of the Clwydian Range AONB. Ideal for a solo trip or a couple’s getaway, the property has wide internal doors, making it a great choice for less mobile guests, too. The Llangollen Pavilion is just the other side of the garden fence, making this the perfect destination for anyone attending an event. Within 0.5 miles you can reach Llangollen’s array of shop, pubs, bars, cafes and restaurants and, just 1 mile away, the dramatic ruins of Castell Dinas Bran tower above you – well worth the climb for the spectacular views. Stroll along the canal and Pontcysyllte Aqueduct or for the more adventurous, try water sports on the River Dee. Head into Eryri (Snowdonia) in less than 25 miles or do day trips with ease to Wrexham (11mls), Chester (20mls) and Shrewsbury (30mls).

The private annexe is situated next to the owner’s house, and is all on the ground floor. Enter up the ramp and through bi-fold patio doors, into the open-plan living area. Here, you’ll have lovely views of the sunny garden. The well-planned space has comfortable seating arranged around an electric fire and Smart TV – the perfect, restful spot for a cosy evening in. At the far end of the room, a dining table is set next to the kitchen area, where the chef of the holiday can easily prepare all kinds of delicious meals, with the help of the electric oven, gas hob and microwave. Adjacent, you’ll find a utility cupboard which contains a handy washing machine and tumble dryer. Head through to the double bedroom when you’re ready for a good night’s sleep, and make use of the large, en-suite bathroom.

Outside, the private garden feels very peaceful – you’ll want to sit out with a coffee and a good book, or just close your eyes and listen to the birdsong. There’s a dining table for two, so you can enjoy a glass of wine or an al fresco meal as your dog plays on the lawn (though do bear in mind that the garden is not enclosed). There is private parking for two cars on the drive.
