Beadnell is the kind of place where days slip by happily between the beach and the village, making it the ideal base for group getaways. Start with a morning paddle or a bit of rock pooling at Beadnell Bay (under 500 metres) while the kids run wild on the sand. Later, enjoy lunch at the beachside café, Relax, take your time and soak in the fresh air and sea breeze. Keen walkers can follow the coastal path to nearby Low Newton, where a drink and fresh seafood feel is well-earned. The seaside village of Seahouses is 2.5 miles away, so it seems fitting to stop here to stroll around the harbour or take a boat trip to spot seals and puffins. Exploring the mighty Bamburgh Castle (6 miles) is a must-do, along with its pristine golden beach and dune-backed landscape.

Step inside and feel right at home. The wide hallway welcomes you in, with not one but two comfortable lounges just off to the side. One is made for movie nights, with deep sofas, a Smart TV, and a cosy flame-effect fire which is sure to warm chilly toes. The other is perfect for kids or anyone who prefers a quieter spot away from the group, featuring a long, comfortable sofa, TV, and games ready to go. There’s a handy WC downstairs too. Whip up family meals in the modern kitchen, where you can gather for big continental breakfasts or more formal dinners. There are two tables to choose from: an eight-seater in the kitchen space or an 11-seater in the dedicated dining room. Throw on the washing in the utility room before heading up to bed. Upstairs you will find all six comfortable bedrooms, whether you’re choosing the super-king-size, twin, single, bunk or one of two king-size bedrooms. If you’re seeking a little more privacy, the super-king-size bedroom boasts an en-suite bathroom, while one of the charming king-size bedrooms has an en-suite shower room. There is also a family shower room with a walk-in shower.

Outside, the large, enclosed lawn is fantastic for evenings of games, while the patio is perfect for al fresco dining in the sunshine. There is another seating area to the side of the property with garden furniture and a large swing seat and in the double garage, you’ll find a tumble dryer as well as a pool table, dart board and table football for family tournaments. The property benefits from private off-road parking for three cars with additional on-street parking nearby, if needed.

This house is in a beautiful location and within easy walk from Beadnell bay. It was plenty big enough for our family and had a good layout which suited us. The bedding and towels were clean and the kitchen had plenty of glasses plates etc. If I could sum Port Perry up in a word it would be "basic". Unfortunately the house feels quite unloved aRead morend in need of a deep clean and a lot of maintenance. The games room in the garage is a waste as everything was broken and rusted to the point of not useable. Take anything and everything you think you might need (there is no hand wash in the bathrooms no salt/pepper/oil etc in the kitchen) maybe these aren't expected by others but they would have made our stay a lot more comfortable. Overall we had a great time in Beadnell but I wouldn't recommend this house and I would not consider booking again, especially when there are so many other lovely properties nearby. Hide

The property was extremely cold when we arrived and it took approximately 6 hours for the property to start to heat up. The location is good though.

Booked this property for a family getaway - 7 adults a 2 year old and a 3 month old plus 2 small dogs. We arrived in -4 outside temperatures to find the heating had not been put on in the house prior to our arrival and the inside temperature was 0 degrees it took until the early hours of the morning to get warm- not ideal with a baby and toddler weRead more had to sit with our coats on all evening. We booked this property as the garage had a pool table, dart board, and table football and we thought it would be nice to spend time in there in the evening however the football table was rusty, there were no tips on the pool cues and only 3 darts that didnt stick in the dart board so we were again disappointed. The property is spacious and has a nice garden area which was great for the dogs , however after loading the dishwasher up we found it didnt work, again disappointing as that left a lot of washing up and we were only provided with 2 tea towels. It seemed that the property had been empty for a while as it was quite dusty. On a positive note the property is close to the beach and situated on a nice quiet estate. We would return to Beadnell again in the winter months but maybe not to this property. Hide
