We would recommend this property to anyone, it was a perfect location, handy for the walking and local pubs. It was all very clean, nice towels and everything you needed in the kitchen. Would definitely go there again.

This is a beautifully appointed cottage which is great for small groups or families. Its open plan downstairs which makes it perfect for a get together. The kitchen has everything you could need (and all very high quality items) the bedrooms were cosy, and the bookcases and games cupboard kept us busy during a storm. The gardens are a perfect siRead moreze for dogs and children and there are walks from the cottage in almost every direction. The cottage sits close to the national park visitors centre and permits are provided for 2 cars, as well as there being parking at the cottage. We had a wonderful time and couldnt fault anything. The owner was exceptionally helpful! We are already planning a return visit. Hide

weekend Coopers Laith was something diffeMyself and my girlfriend usually like to stay in cottages that are secluded so as to guarantee some peace and quiet and to be cut off from the rest of the world for a longrent as it is near a village. However we thought we would give this a go as the cottage looked so pretty. Were so pleased we did as we Read morehad an utterly lovely time and we neednt have worried about our peace being disturbed as we didnt hear a sound from the nearby village The Cottage: I dont really feel that the pictures quite do it justice in showing how gorgeous and cosy it is. Straight from the off we were blown away by the massive garden with lovely seating areas and the abundance of apples on the huge tree not far from the doorway. The kitchen has absolutely every amenity that you could ever need. We brought our own ice cube trays as the last place we stayed didnt have them. We neednt have bothered as these were available. On our last night we had ourselves a buffet (food provided by M&S Food Hall at nearby Skipton) and as always wed bought too much food. To our surprise theyd even supplied those little foil containers that you get in Chinese takeaways, so we could take our food back home with us! Nice touch The livingroom is an absolute delight. The recliner sofas were so comfortable. It was difficult to tear myself off of them. The TV was a really good size and we had no problem connecting our apps so we could keep up to date with the latest episode of Coronation Street I had a lovely time going back to my caveman roots building a fire in the fireplace. Ample kindling and logs were provided which was lovely for keeping us warm now that the chilly nights are kicking in a bit now I was also very impressed with the lighting provided. Lots of nice little spotlights about the place which help to create a lovely romantic ambiance, which is what its all about when youre getting away for the weekend with your loved one *Tip* - On our first night that we stayed there we thought that we had to go upstairs every time we needed the loo. Was only on the second night that we discovered that on the ground floor there is a very lovely en-suite bedroom/bathroom. So no stairs needed to be climbed until bedtime! You can see from the pictures how nice the bedrooms are. Ample wardrobe space for all your clothes (the wardrobe in the master bedroom even lights up when you open the door!). There are 3 bedrooms upstairs and they all have lovely views of the amazing apple filled garden Surrounding Areas: Very nearby there is the Yorkshire Dales National Park Visitors Centre. Its worth having a nose in if you fancy some new Lycra cycling gear or a jar of honey, or a soft toy. There also appeared to have an abundance of info on the local area but it wasnt that sort of stay for us. We just wanted to stay relaxed and local. I also noticed that they had these sort of quad bike looking things that you could hire if you fancied a little spin up to the nearby Malham Cove, which is very much worth a visit A little further up the road is The Old Barn Tea Room who do a lovely cuppa and slice of cake in a very cosy setting. Im told they do a cracking Full English too The Buck Inn is a little further up the road. We just had the one drink in here. It was nice enough. The food looked really good too. *Tip* We went out into the beer garden which wasnt that amazing, but then noticed a sign pointing upwards which we followed that lead to a much more appealing and scenic beer garden. We enjoyed our pints surrounded by the faint smell of chimney smoke and the sound of sheep bleating and the sight of rolling hills. Ahhhh Crossing over a lovely stone bridge brings you to The Lister Arms, which was very much our sort of place. It was just a lovely stereotypical cosy country pub with a roaring fire that really added to the atmosphere. We enjoyed it so much that we decided to book Sunday lunch there. And I must say it was some of the best food I have ever tasted. I recommend going for the trio of meats (if youre not vegetarian/vegan). Also have to say that the Yorkshire pudding was the best I have ever had. Well, we were in Yorkshire after all To sum up, I cannot recommend Coopers Laith more highly. It has everything you could possibly need for a fantastic jaunt way, no matter what the party size. Thank you Jo for being such a wonderful host! Hide
