Whether you prefer quiet riverside strolls or challenging mountain hikes, sandy beaches or bustling market towns, there’s something for everyone in this fabulous area. Walking routes nearby include Glyndwr’s Way or, just 7 miles away, the town of Machynlleth – the ancient capital of Wales − has a quirky vibe and is a great destination for antique stores, art galleries and alternative-lifestyle shops, not to mention its vibrant weekly market. Dolgellau, 15 miles away, is full of independent shops, cafes and pubs, and is renowned for its annual music festival. For days at the beach, meanwhile, Aberdyfi is only 16 miles away.

This delightful lodge has an apex roof, wooden floors and a combination of natural materials and muted colours that reflect its beautiful surroundings. Cleverly designed to maximise space and comfort, its high-quality furnishings have been carefully selected for function and style. At the far end of the open-plan living area, floor-to-ceiling glazing frames the woodland view, making this a wonderful spot in which to relax and unwind. Pull open the door to the deck, listen to birdsong and enjoy the fresh air. There’s a dining table for four tucked in one corner, and a Freeview TV for entertainment. The efficient galley kitchen, with its handsome painted cabinetry, includes an air fryer and a dishwasher for convenience, offering the chance to whip up quick snacks or gourmet meals alike. When it’s time for bed, the two bedrooms are enticing spaces in which to enjoy a good night’s sleep. The king-size room boasts an en-suite shower room, as well as a Freeview TV and a dressing table, while the bunk bedroom has bespoke-built, 3’ beds. Completing the interior is a second, separate shower room.

The small deck leading off the living space is furnished with chairs in which to sit back and relax as you enjoy a morning coffee or a sundowner. There are two steps down to the large, private garden, where you can stretch your legs on the lawn or head to the riverside and spot some wildlife. The property is located at the far end of a seasonal campsite and has a separate drive where you can park two cars.
